“A Treasure Trove of Retro Goodies”
That’s how the Irish Independent described Revive in a recent travel blog about the wonderful village of Dunfanaghy.
Revive is passionate about breathing new life into old furniture. Opened in July 2013, the business combines old skills in craft, design, furniture restoration and upholstery to rediscover the beauty in old furniture. Compared to commonplace flat pack furniture, which often lacks both character and longevity, Revive believes that old furniture made with real craftsmanship only needs a little imagination and care to give it a new lease of life.
You will find Revive in the old Market House in the Market Square, which itself has been revived after many years of lying vacant.
Revive are keen to receive unwanted pieces of furniture, either through house clearance sales or donations, and are happy to arrange transport where necessary. Just phone, email or drop in if you have any interesting pieces of furniture which need a new home.
The Revive team are also keen to share their passion for old furniture revival techniques and so are hosting introductory classes: “Breathe new life into your old furniture”.
So if you are fed up with flat pack furniture, and have a longing for furniture made with real craftsmanship and style, why not drop into Revive? You will be made very welcome for a browse and a coffee. One thing you can be sure is that we will always have plenty of chairs!
