Dunfanaghy is the perfect place to visit if you enjoy horse-riding, or indeed if you would like to try it for the first time. Trekking out across the bay at low tide, or along the beach, or out across the sand dunes to Tramore is a wonderful experience from the saddle of your horse.
The long established Dunfanaghy Riding Stables offers a first class experience whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider. The stables are located at the rear of Arnolds hotel right in the middle of the village, and are open from Easter to Halloween.
This successful equestrian centre is efficiently run by Helen McDaid, and her daughter Niamh, and a team of young and enthusiastic staff. For many years they have been welcoming people from all over the world and they are now an established equestrian tourism centre.
Horse-riding from the stables has become a very popular activity, so booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
