Jim Osborne is a mainly self-taught landscape artist, who lives and works around the village of Dunfanaghy.
Jim works in many different mediums including watercolour, acrylic and oil, and his work is in private collections around the globe.
The latest medium that he has adopted, which has brought great critical acclaim, is water, and comes under the heading of “Steamy Windows”, as that is exactly what he draws on. The results are moody outlines of shadowy figures lit by a single light source which is the flash of the camera used to record the piece, before it completely condenses and is lost forever. The resulting pictures are both beautiful and mystical!
Jim’s work can be seen during the summer in The Workhouse in Dunfanaghy, and also on his website below.
