Dunfanaghy
The Dunfanaghy area is quite literally, alive with the sound of musicians, artists, craftsmen and galleries. The wonderful scenery and landscape is that inspiring!
All the galleries and artists mentioned here live and work within a few miles of the village. Whether it is paintings, sculpture, photographs, patchwork, pottery, weaving or jewellery making you are interested in, you will find them all in and not far from the village.
There are exciting young artists like Dee Ferry, of Eden’s Creations, who creates sculptures from old clothes, many older artists slightly longer in the tooth, and the whole area has a pedigree handed down from the renowned landscape artist Frank Eggington, whose work can still be viewed around in the village, particularly in The Gallery, an artistic haven run by Frank Eggington’s daughter, Moira.
